About Open Symbols
Open Symbols is an MIT-licensed icon system where animation comes from an icon's layers, geometry and meaning. A pure-math engine gives the same icon its bounce, pulse or draw animation across supported adapters.
What you get
- 2,000 icons derived from the free Hugeicons set, with semantic metadata and curated corrections.
- 13 animation presets, including stroke-draw entry and exit (Presets).
- React, React Native, DOM and Web Component adapters, plus icon JSON and Lottie export.
- Static SVG and JSON downloads directly from the library.
- Per-icon descriptions of meaning, use and motion, shipped in the
@open-symbols/iconsJSON.
Release
The seven JavaScript packages share version 0.2.0 and are available on
npm. The API is still 0.x; see
